Holy City Children is a new organization created to bring together children from many different backgrounds, all to do good. The organization approached East Cooper Meals on Wheels to see if there was something they could get behind, something children could help with. And, boy did they deliver!
At the annual First Day Festival in downtown Charleston, Holy City Children hosted a “Good Vibration Letter Writing Station.” Children who stopped by the Holy City Children table at the Festival were invited to write and decorate kind letters to send to a Meals on Wheels recipient. More than 150 cards that were written and decorated by children have been delivered along with a meal.
Craig Morris, co-founder of Holy City Children said, “there is not a holiday or special occasion for these letters, we’re just sending them just because it feels good to share positive vibes.” This is the lesson they hope to instill in the hearts of the children involved in Holy City Children. We think this is a great start and a lesson people of all ages can learn from! Learn more.
Our recipients love notes and messages during the holidays, or anytime! Do you want to organize a letter writing station? Please let us know!
