Volunteer – The Heart and Soul of our Organization
Since 1985, we have been a volunteer-driven organization. While we have a small, dedicated staff of six, our 350+ volunteers are the true engine behind every meal we deliver. Because our community is so generous, we currently have a waitlist for regular routes, but we would still love to have you join our Meals on Wheels family!
How to Get Started
Don’t let a waitlist stop you! Often, the best way to dive in is as a “Substitute.” Subs play a vital role by stepping in when our regulars are on vacation or under the weather. It’s the perfect way to learn the ropes and meet your neighbors.
Ways You Can Help
- Pack with Purpose: Help us get organized! We pack our meals every morning starting at 8:00 am (usually a quick 30–45-minute shift).
- Deliver Meals: Hit the road starting at 9:30 am. Our routes are designed to fit into your morning, usually taking just 60–90 minutes.
- Event Support: Lend a hand at our local fundraisers and community events throughout the year.
- Office Roles: If you’re good at answering phones and multitasking, this might be a fit for you.
