Growing Better: INTERACTIVE Stretching & Relaxation Session

Do you ever get a little flustered when you can’t remember something? A little forgetfulness is a normal part of aging, but it doesn’t mean it’s not frustrating. Could some simple stretching and intentional breathing help you relax and refocus? That’s exactly what our friends at MUSC are exploring right now!

Join us for an INTERACTIVE session right from your chair or sofa! Melissa Butcher, Program Coordinator at MUSC’s College of Nursing, will highlight the positive impacts of stretching and breathing on your overall well-being. Then, she’ll lead you through a 15-minute experience where you can follow along and feel the benefits for yourself. You’ll even learn about a current research study at MUSC focused┬áspecifically on understanding the impact of breathing and gentle chair exercises on caregivers with loved-ones that have dementia.
