Growing Better: Cooking Demo w/ Lowcountry Food Bank
March 23 @ 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm
What life lessons have you learned during the COVID-19 pandemic? In 2021, our free online learning series returns, through which you’ll discover our top tips for maintaining your health and happiness in these uncertain times. We’ll share about a variety of topics that make a difference in caring for yourself, whether you’re 25 or 95. Each session will take place via Zoom, with plenty of time for questions.
LIVE Cooking Demonstration!
Join us for a live cooking demonstration with one of the chefs from Lowcountry Food Bank. Did you know we actually purchase most of our meals from this local nonprofit? Our homebound recipients get healthy and delicious chef-prepared meals, and the menus are often developed in partnership with dietetic interns from MUSC. They help us stay on track with our Food is Medicine initiative with affordable meals prepared in the efficient and state-of-the-art Zucker Family Production Kitchen – a win for everyone!
We’ll be learning to prepare one of our favorites – Hawaiian Chicken – which is perfect as the weather warms up!
Simply fill out the form below to sign up for this FREE event, and we’ll email you the Zoom information 24 hours before the learning session.
