Join us via Zoom for the next session in our Growing Better online learning series!
According to our friends at East Cooper Medical Center, in the past, the average age hit by colorectal cancer ranged from 68-72 years old. However, the American Cancer Society says young-onset colorectal cancer is on the rise. The third most common cancer in the United States is colorectal cancer, and it is also the second leading cause of cancer death. One in 23 men + One in 25 women will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer!
However, it’s preventable, treatable, and beatable. One of the best prevention tools is colorectal cancer screening. We know that getting a colonoscopy, especially if you’ve never had one before, can be a little daunting. That’s why we’re bringing in an expert to answer all your questions and give you the scoop on what to expect during your screening.
Our guest speaker, Dr. Susan G. Knoche, is board certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery. She completed her fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and now works for East Cooper Medical Group.
